Planning Congresbury for the next 20 years

Planning Congresbury next 20 yearsCongresbury Neighbourhood Planning Group need to know your views on how you would like to see Congresbury grow and develop over the next 20 years.

The Parish Council is leading the process of producing a Neighbourhood Plan and to start this all residents are asked to complete a postcard with their views. The postcards are being delivered to every home in the village with the Chronicle over the next week. Please complete and return using one of the drop-off points which are the Parish Office, Library, Doctors Surgery, Fish and Chip Shop or the Plough Inn by 31 January 2016.

A Neighbourhood Plan is a community led framework for guiding the development, regeneration and conservation of an area. A neighbourhood plan is about the use and development of land and may contain a vision, aims, planning policies, proposals for improving the area or providing new facilities, or allocation of key sites for specific kinds of development. It may deal with a wide range of social, economic and environmental issues (such as housing, employment, heritage and transport) or it may focus on one or two issues only.

We hope that the postcard will identify aspirations, specific actions or ideas that aim to ensure that Congresbury remains a vibrant and thriving community which caters for all age groups. All comments will be fed into the next stage of the Neighbourhood Plan process and decide what issues will become part of the plan and which areas to focus on. Please have your say by completing and returning the postcard.
